We have an opening for a reliable and experienced Design Engineer.  The successful applicants will be working on designing and engineering interior furniture for Rail, Airport, Commercial Office, and other specialised sectors.

  • Permanent, full-time position 
  • 4 day working week is in operation (Monday to Thursday 6AM to 4.30PM).
  • Starting rate of pay will be dependent on experience

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Designing concept and production 3D-CAD models of various products within the sector of Rail, Airport, Commercial Office and other specialised areas, using Solidworks.
  • Generating detailed production and assembly drawings.
  • Undertaking hand calculations to support initial design development stages. 
  • Providing necessary engineering support to production department and providing creative solution to the problems.  
  • Developing reports and documents for DFMEA, RAMS, LCC, O&M and Test Reports.
  • Ensuring ECN and MRP systems are followed throughout the product development process. 
  • Specifying and maintaining welding, bonding, testing, documents for production and approvals. 
  • You will be responsible for the product development process and will be required to liaise with suppliers/customers throughout the project. 

Necessary requirements:

  • Applicants must have a Degree in Design or Engineering.
  • Must have minimum of two-year Solidworks work experience in designing complex assemblies and parts. 
  • Minimum of two-year experience of producing technical drawings in a design job. 

Advantageous requirements:

  • Minimum of two-year experience in generating welding documentations for applicable standards and mechanical testing procedures is important.

Joiner / Solid Surface Fabricator
Monday to Thursday: 6AM to 4.30PM + overtime as required

Due to increasing demand for our products, we have vacancies for a reliable and experienced solid surface/laminate fabricator/joiner.  The successful applicants will be working on manufacturing interior furniture (including Check In Desks/Solid Surface Wall Linings) for Airport projects.

  • Joinery/solidsurface fabrication of parts according to Work Instructions/DWGs/Product Packs/Parts Lists
  • Inspect First Offs with calibrated measuring devices to ensure compliance to specifications
  • Keep Injection Moulding machines operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
  • Reducing amount of product non-conformances
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rule sand regulations
  • Document actions by completing production and quality inspection forms
  • Understand the functions of MRP system
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing activities First Time Right

Necessary requirements:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment where health and safety has been demonstrated
  • Ability to read Technical DWGs
  • Experience in Quality Inspection of First Offs

Advantageous requirements:

  • Ability to operate data capture on MRP manufacturing system
  • CSCS card
  • Forklift Truck licence

CNC Setter/Operator
Monday to Thursday: 6AM to 4.30PM + overtime as required

Due to increasing demand for our products, we are looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join our CNC Machining department.  Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate previous experience of CNC machining using Homag/Anderson or similar equipment.

  • Permanent, full-time position 
  • 4 day working week is in operation (Mon to Thurs 6AM to 4.30PM).
  • Starting rate of pay will be from £10.50 
  • Night shift may be offered if desirable and shift allowance will be paid where applicable.

  • Competently operate 3-Axis/5-Axis Woodworking CNC Machines and meet daily output targets.
  • Inspect First Offs with calibrated measuring devices to ensure compliance to specifications
  • Keep 3-Axis/5-Axis Woodworking CNC Machines operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
  • Reducing amount of product non-conformances
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rule sand regulations
  • Document actions by completing production and quality inspection forms
  • Understand the functions of MRP system
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing activities First Time Right

Necessary requirements:

  • Experience setting and operating 3-Axis Woodworking CNC Machines
  • Ability to read Technical DWGs
  • Experience in Quality Inspection of First Offs

Advantageous requirements:

  • Ability to operate data capture on MRP manufacturing system
  • Experience setting and operating 5-Axis Woodworking CNC Machines
  • Programming using off-line software such as AlphaCAM
  • Forklift Truck licence
